Since 1990, Hamlin & Kersey Home Center has focused primarily on consumer home entertainment products. Through this period, the digital technology revolution has persuaded us to evolve into associated services related to the surround sound, flat panel HDTV, and remote installation of digital products within the home as well as other needs within the home.

Today, the ability to meet the needs of our customers in these areas, has led us to provide the associated entertainment furniture to accommodate the audio/video needs. In 1997, we searched out quality brands of entertainment cabinetry in a variety of brands and styles to display the flat panel and micro-device projection TV technologies to fit most all purposes. Wood entertainment furniture is uniquely different for today's new High Definition products. Simultaneously, we realized we needed the skills and personnel to install these products as well. We developed our custom installation division during that same year. We have install flat panel products in many varied and unique home locations from enclosures around hot tubs, ceiling flip down mechanisms, disappearing classical artwork that disappears with remote controls framed around the flat panel TV, above bed canopies, and many other installed locations. Upon the pursuit of all of these products, we responded to customer inquiries about home theater seating, automated lighting , security and phone needs to further assist customers in our market as they were having a hard time finding dependable high quality companies to help them in there quest for the lifestyle they work so hard to obtain for their families.

Through the evolution of our company, many of our customers in this market were inquiring about associated premium appliance products relative to the quality level and performance that they demanded in their home entertainment rooms. Hamlin & Kersey installed their first kitchen appliance lifestyle vignettes (link to) in the store in 1996. We utilized world class brands recognized by those who appreciate entertaining family and friends with food and fine cuisine. We work on behalf of the customer to assist them in finding new ways to make today's high technology products conform to their demands to remodel existing kitchen or designing new kitchens. We interact in symphony with customers, or their new home kitchen designers, to provide the appliances they require to meet the design standards for their construction. We have also created a network of individual contractors that share our high level of service, to assist our customers by doing cabinet and counter top modifications to retrofit new products for replacement kitchen appliances.

As you can tell, we respond to the needs of our customers. When many huge corporate retailers have reduced their commitment to industry knowledge and customer service, we thrive on knowledge and service. The big box retailers have existed strictly on the low price cliché' and they have sacrificed professionalism and product knowledge thinking that customers will demand nothing else but minimal price accompanied by minimal services. We realize that is true for some commodity type products. We think that is not true for durable products that increase both the entertainment value for the family, as well as the dollar value of your home. If it was true for other things, like cars, we would all be driving the same low priced vehicle, with similar features made by one manufacturer as a source of transportation. We are competitive with the mass retailer prices, yet we are proud of our commitment to professional knowledge, installation skills and the high level of services we offer to our customers everyday! This is the most important element of our business philosophy.
